Our Mission

The College Advisory Network (“CAN”) provides the highest quality personal college admission counseling service to students and their families. Working through a consortium of top college advisors, CAN is dedicated to assisting students and their families in identifying school options, preparing college applications, working on application essays, and planning for college admission.

The College Advisory Network includes faculty from top independent schools and public high schools in New York, New Jersey and other parts of the metro area as well as specialists from universities and colleges and college prep schools throughout the East Coast. All advisors possess intimate knowledge of colleges and universities, as well as their specialties.

CAN’s wide range of advisors and counselors also offers unparalleled access to specialists in diverse areas, including athletics, sciences, languages and more. We are able to provide counsel on college applications in the fields of engineering and architecture, on financing a college education, seeking scholarships, grants, loans and merit aid, and college admission for students with special needs.

More affordable than many college advising services, CAN offers a large menu of program options, beginning in freshman year, and extending, if desired, through the end of senior year. The College Advisory Network can match both a family’s needs and budget, and can also provide financial aid programs for parents who qualify.
